Through the following links you can find the work that I developed during the different courses of the Master of Education in Applied Digital Learning program. It also includes resources that I find helpful and a blog where I describe my journey to become an innovator in Digital Learning. I invite you to select the buttons to learn more.
For this course, I have chosen to research a topic that is relevant to the project that I have been developing throughout this program. I have been working in implementing an ePortfolio in one of the business courses at Epoka University.
In this class, I designed a course outline and a plan that includes organizing content and activities that provide opportunities for students to become better self-learners, critical thinkers, and better at acquiring and managing knowledge from across disciplines.
Any continuing education effort for educators where teachers can improve their skills and increase student outcomes is the best investment an education system can make. A great deal of time and money is spent each year on classroom observation and workshops to train teachers to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to address student learning challenges.
An ePortfolio can be much more than a display of artwork for employment purposes, especially if you make it yours. It can reflect your learning process, your growth, your personality, and your interests. It can teach you to self-assess and evaluate your learning progress, as well as to think critically and take responsibility for your work.
In this course, we learned the importance of having a clear “WHY” that defines the purpose of our projects. To produce passion and a sense of urgency in our students, we need to reflect upon, understand, and know the intention, causes, or beliefs that drive us to be successful as educators.
In this course, we developed an Innovation Plan to implement an E-Portfolio for an International Business course. The Innovation Plan included a Proposal, a Literature review, and an Implementation plan.
This course includes the following sections: Growth mindset, Learning manifesto, and Learning Networks Blog.
A new culture of learning brings many new ideas to enhance student learning. Thomas and Brown state that students naturally learn through play. Therefore, learning through play is the best way to engage them in learning.
For my publication, I chose to write about the benefits of implementing an e-Portfolio for business students, which is the same topic that I covered in my Innovation Plan. In my article draft, I mention the advantages of the e-Portfolio in different areas as a learning tool. I also give ideas of exercises that students can utilized and I mention some tools to help students with their learning and development.
From the very beginning of the first course, this program gave me the opportunity to become a self-taught person, to give me ownership over my choice, and a voice with a genuine opportunity to learn (COVA). COVA allowed my personal development.
